Our Fabrication Support Unit Talk TrueScale Laminate

Having recently launched 20 new decors into our TrueScale range we caught up with our Fabrication Support Unit (FSU) to hear their thoughts on the product.

Our FSU department consists of Paul Sisterson and David Mckenzie who continuously work with customers on best practice ways of working with laminate.

We recently introduced20 new TrueScale Decors, what do you like most about the new TrueScale range?
Paul: “It’s just such a good imitation of the real thing, side by side you would find it difficult just by looking which is laminate and which is stone or wood.”

David: “also adding to its authenticity is the fact that there is no repeat pattern across the sheet.  In terms of fabrication it has added benefits over the real thing, it can be postformed and its much lighter weight.”

Which TrueScale décor is your favourite?
David: “Calacatta marble, I really like the white and grey colouring.  I have seen it used in applications such as beauty counters, plinths and table tops and it looks so real.”

Paul: “I like Concrete Formwood, the shuttering joinery technique that would be used to achieve the real thing reminds me of a previous joinery job I had!”

If you could pick anything to be made using TrueScale laminate what would it be?
Paul: “I would clad the outside of a building with it or use it in a hotel lobby area on the walls or as pieces of art.”
