2027 FORM Student Innovation Competition Now Open!

Submit your furniture design projects by Feb.19, 2027, for your chance to win a trip to join Formica Corporation at NeoCon 2027 and a cash prize!

Formica Corporation invites architecture and design students to submit a furniture design embodying the theme “color as the main character”.

Color is increasingly emerging as a defining design strategy and principle rather than just an accent. To celebrate this, Formica Corporation is inviting students to make color shine as the main character of their design—from bold, saturated hues to unexpected, dimensional and layered color combinations—and explore how color can shape user experience. Pieces should be designed for indoor residential or commercial settings and must incorporate at least three or more Formica® Brand and/or FENIX® products.

What do you win?*

A cash prize: $2,000 for the grand prizewinner, $1,000 for the second-place winner and $500 for the third-place winner

An expenses-paid trip to NeoCon 2027 as a guest of Formica Corporation, where the grand prizewinners design will be fabricated and on display

The top 10 finalists, including winners, will be publicly recognized by Formica Corporation and have the opportunity for their design portfolio to be reviewed by a member of the Formica Corporation design team.
