NeoCon 2023 was a success!
We celebrated 110 years of Formica® Brand patterns and 10 years of FENIX® Innovative Materials. Four new commercial laminate patterns were previewed, along with seven new Everform® Solid Surface designs, collectively called the Formica® Specialty Collection. Six new FENIX® colors were also previewed, for launch later in 2023.
Beyond Boomerang
An important part of the weeks celebrations included telling the history of Formica® Brand patterns with the launch of a book. Tuesday afternoon Formica Corporation hosted a book launch party and cocktail hour at the NeoCon Talks Stage at The Merchandise Mart. 2023 FORM Student Innovation Competition
As part of its continual efforts to recognize emerging design talent, Formica Corporation proudly revealed the 2023 FORM Student Innovative Competition grand prize winner’s design at NeoCon. Tom-Eliott Monette created "Voluta", a striking furniture piece that showcased a combination of harmonious curves and vivid colors. Crafted with several Formica® Laminates, Voluta offers a stylish solution for storing and enjoying vinyl records while embodying the competitions theme of maximalism. Learn more.
The 2023 NeoCon Booth
Historic Formica® Brand patterns were brought back to life (alas, if only temporarily) at the Formica Corporation booth on the 7th floor of the Merchandise Mart, as a part of a palette creation station. Show attendees were inspired to create their own inspired design palettes using a variety of materials and use our palette photobooth to capture their creations.
