Sarah Cox Interiors completed a stunning library transformation at Ladysmith School in Exeter, UK, focusing on a vibrant woodland theme that showcases greens and wood finishes. The design studio selected Formica® Laminate in F6901 Vibrant Green, F4177 Lime, and F7897 Spectrum Green for the shelf fronts and other features, creating lively contrasts with birch-faced ply. This unique combination delivered both aesthetic appeal and durability - perfect for a high-traffic educational space.
To maximise the layout, the space was divided into three zones - non-fiction, fiction, and chapter books - while a previously unused store cupboard was transformed into a cosy private reading nook.
The teaching staff and pupils are thrilled with the results, demonstrating how thoughtful design and the right laminate solutions can create a dynamic, welcoming, and highly functional school library. By incorporating vibrant colours, durable materials, and child-friendly elements, the revamped library now serves as a hub of inspiration and exploration. Children are encouraged to immerse themselves in books, ignite their curiosity, and cultivate a lifelong love of reading. From inviting reading nooks to collaborative spaces for group activities, every aspect ensures it meets the diverse needs of young learners.
