Younique® facilitates daily preschool activities

Each nursery group has a named animal mask and special color that helps the children identify their department in the large building that accommodates 130 children. The mascots also show the function of the rooms such as for play meals toilets or dressing.

'Our goal was that the children would feel safe from day one and to help them navigate the building' explains city architect Pentti Klemetti. Of course the doors also needed to withstand the wear of daily use and be fire-rated and easy to clean.

The Younique^® service made it possible to integrate art into the design of the building and the best part is that the children have made the building to their own.

'The mascots have filled their purpose and guide the children where they are going. The children love them and enjoy themselves in their departments' says Tuija Anoschkin preschool of the preschool.
