Very Peri, a dynamic periwinkle blue hue, is the Pantone Colour of the Year 2022. This vibrant blue inspired us to use Formica® Laminate in Azur as a focal point alongside our brand-new Formica® Collection colours.
The Pantone Colour of the Year 2022
The Pantone Colour Institute’s annual Colour of the Year helps us interpret the collective global mood through a visual lens. For this year, they’ve created a new colour, PANTONE Very Peri, that represents a time of transition featuring such hallmarks as confidence, creativity, and curiosity.
Pantone released four unique colour palettes, and we wanted to explore how Formica® Laminate in Azur could be used as a focal point alongside our brand-new Formica® Collection colours. Each palette conveys a different mood, illustrating the versatility of Azur. These four collections tell modern design stories that offer new possibilities for home and commercial spaces. Balancing Act
Balancing Act is a complementary palette that plays with the colours of the natural world. Inserting Azur into this muted palette injects a feeling of liveliness and visual vibration. Our new additions of Earthenware and Blush are reminiscent of natural materials and artisan products. This palette balances the use of warm and cool tones, allowing colour to be added in a less intrusive way.

A harmonious blend of nature colours, and bringing the outdoors in, Wellspring highlights the combability and grounding nature of greens, with Azur acting as a focal point.
