More than just a new laminate worktop range, Formica Originals is a vibrant reimagining of what kitchen surfaces can be: bold, beautiful, and built to perform. Combining 52 carefully curated options — 24 in premium square-edge and 28 in classic postformed — the collection blends 16 striking new designs with the best-selling decors from Formica Prima® and Axiom®.
Co-created with the expertsThe Formica Originals Collection reflects a genuine collaboration between Formica Group and the people who know kitchens best. During the development process, we consulted directly with experts at WEX Trade and top UK kitchen studios, gathering insights into emerging trends, practical display needs, and customer preferences. We also reached out to studios and retailers who would be hosting a Formica Originals point-of-sale display, inviting them to choose a preferred display colourway, helping to ensure the new collection stands out where it matters most: in the showroom.
This design-led, feedback-driven approach means the collection isn’t just original by name — it’s truly original in how it was made.
Distinctive design in five stylesGrouped into five style categories, Formica Originals makes it easy to curate a cohesive studio display or guide customers through confident decision-making:
- Stone-Inspired: From dramatic marbles to industrial concretes, these decors offer elegance and everyday durability.
- Wood-Inspired: Rich oaks and moody walnuts bring organic warmth to any kitchen.
- Platinum & Sovereign: Subtle metallic finishes in silver, gold and bronze reflect the rising demand for luxe details.
- Crisp White: Clean, minimal and endlessly versatile — a timeless studio staple.
Each worktop can be paired with matching upstands and splashbacks for design continuity. For bolder kitchens, there are eight feature splashbacks in terrazzo, brushed metallics, and vivid solid colours — perfect for creating a true design statement.
