Formica Group X Okuda San Miguel

We took on the "Come Leave Your Mark" charity initiative together with the Aladina Foundation to help renovate the paediatric intensive care areas of Madrid's San Carlos Hospital.

The new paediatric intensive care unit was opened last week at an event attended by Madrid's Deputy Minister of Health, José Soto, Paco Arango, Director of the Aladina Foundation, Herbert Nindl, our Regional Director for Southern Europe, and artist Okuda San Miguel.

As part of this charity project, we donated and installed decorative laminates, which have been used in wall paneling and as part of furniture surfaces in the renovated area. Highlights of this project are the two incredible 45-metre square murals that were designed and digitally printed by Okuda San Miguel For our Younique laminate panels^®.

Regarding his own contribution, Okuda San Miguel says: "There were two very interesting aspects of this project. First of all, it was exciting to start working with a material that I had never used before, especially when viewed as an architectural creation. Secondly, of course, the context and location of the work, which allows us to bring a lot of joy to the children who need it."
