CINCINNATI — Formica Corporation has been awarded GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute for its Formica® Stone Natural Quartz Surfacing, Formica® Solid Surfacing, Formica® Brand Laminate, Formica® frpSelect Specialty Laminates, DecoMetal® and solid metal collections. Tested according to the rigid GREENGUARD Standards for Low Emitting Products, the surfacing products are found to have minimal impact on the indoor environment. Choosing products that have been GREENGUARD Certified can significantly reduce the level of contaminants in the indoor environment that may affect health and quality of life.

"GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification is very important to builders, architects, designers and consumers who want to breathe easier knowing that the Formica brand surfacing materials they choose for their interiors will be safe," says Joe Thompson, vice president of marketing and corporate branding, Formica Corporation. "It allows them the freedom and confidence to do more by specifying the products for their project that promote a healthy environment."

Formica Corporation voluntarily applied to the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute for Indoor Air Quality Certification. Testing will be administered on an ongoing quarterly and annual basis to ensure continued certification.

Formica Stone Natural Quartz Surfacing is available in 12 colorful patterns with the elegance and beauty of natural stone.
